What the course delivers
Using our training partners, Ardent Training, this online course is for new and re-validating RYA Commercial Endorsement holders.
You can take this compulsory course anytime prior to your Commercial Endorsement application or renewal. Your PPR certificate will be valid either for your first Commercial Endorsement application or at your next renewal.

Course Syllabus
This course covers:
- Commercial Environment
- Demonstrating how participants fit into the professional maritime sector.
- People
- Highlighting the importance of adequate staffing, ongoing skill improvement, and safe management of commercial vessels.
- Vessel
- Guiding on the required presence and upkeep of safety equipment, and creating and implementing risk control and operating procedures.
- Purpose
- Ensuring vessels are suitable and legal for work, understanding environmental protection duties, and stressing proper planning and awareness.
- Online Assessment
- After finishing these four training modules, participants take an online assessment that is included in the course.
