Prestige Boat Academy was established by a group of passionate sailors and maritime professionals who recognised a need for high-quality, accessible boating education on the Costa del Sol, Marbella. With years of experience in the maritime industry, we saw an opportunity to create a training centre that not only adhered to the high standards set by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) but also fostered a welcoming and supportive learning environment.
There is underground parking at the Commercial Centre, however we recommend that you try and find a free parking spot by the Melia Marbella Banus hotel or the SABA car park opposite McDonalds offer a 3 day “abono” for 21€ when parking between the hours of 09:00 – 18:00. Be sure to go to the helpdesk once you have taken a ticket and parked to arrange the abono, you cannot get this offer later!

No. Our boats are smoke and vape free.
You are welcome to smoke when back on land during planned breaks.
Travel insurance is not compulsory, however, we do highly recommend it. Many students travel to do their courses and things don’t always go to plan.
This can help cover expenses relating to lost luggage, flight cancellations and delays, and medical emergencies.
Depending on the course, certain prerequisites may be required.
Our courses clearly specify the necessary qualifications.
For our beginner courses, no prior experience is necessary.
Yes, own boat tuition is available starting from 350€ + VAT per day.
A prior safety inspection is mandatory to ensure all the necessary equipment is onboard and in date for the course (240€ + VAT)
There will be a maximum of 3 students on board for a powerboat course. For other motor cruising courses, it is a maximum of 4 students.
Yes, the fuel you will be using throughout the course is including the course fee.
You are welcome to bring your mobile phone.
We kindly request that phones be switched off during instructional sessions to minimise distractions, unless you are anticipating an urgent call.
Mobile phone reception typically extends up to about 10 miles from land, providing coverage for most courses.
In case of an emergency, the yacht can also be reached via radio communication.
