About This Course
The RYA Helmsman Practical is a two-day introduction to boat handling for people who are new to powerboating or who have limited time at the helm. It focuses on the core skills needed to handle a motorboat safely and confidently in a marina and in open water.
This course is ideal if you are joining a club, want to gain confidence before a charter holiday, or simply want to take the first step on the RYA pathway. Small group sizes mean you get genuine helm time from the first hour.
